Unpuzzling Life: Our Journey, One Piece at a Time

Life is one big puzzle, and let’s be real—sometimes the pieces don’t make sense. But as time goes on, things start falling into place, and suddenly, you realize you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Owner of Puzzled Kay - Kristen Patton

So, hey! I’m Kay— wife, mom of five, small business owner, and a lover of all things creative.Welcome to my little corner of the internet where family, adventure, and creativity all come together in one chaotic, wonderful mix.

The Patton Seven

Our family is everything to me. With five kids ranging from 6 to 20, life is never boring. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a new adventure, a creative project, or just the beautiful chaos of daily life. Sarah (20) is stepping into adulthood, Jada (16) is navigating her teenage years, Ayden (15) was my first baby and is growing up way too fast, Preston (11) is the best big brother, and Ella (6) is full of sass and energy. Together, we make up The Patton Seven—a family full of love, laughter, and a little bit of craziness.

Me & Tommy: From Teenagers to Teammates for Life

Tommy and I met when we were 16 years old, and we’ve been doing life together ever since. We grew up side by side, tackled adulthood, built businesses, and somehow managed to keep the spark alive through all the craziness. Let me tell you—he is my person, my better half, the one who can drive me absolutely crazy and make me laugh in the same breath.

We both have ADHD, which means we’re constantly bouncing from one project to the next, always learning something new. If it looks fun, we’re doing it. Right now, we’re figuring out how to frame our laser-engraved photos and signs (because why not add another skill to the list?). Whether it’s DIY projects, business ideas, or just making memories, we’re all in—together.

Building a Business from Creativity & Heart

I’ve always loved creating, but I never expected my hobby to turn into a business. It all started with Wild Wishes Shop—a small business born out of love, loss, and a desire to bring comfort to others. I designed a memorial poem blanket for my own family, and before I knew it, others wanted one too. That’s when I realized that what I was making wasn’t just a product—it was a source of comfort for so many people. I searched until I found the softest, most luxurious blankets to print on because I wanted them to feel like a warm hug from a loved one.

Beyond Wild Wishes, Tommy and I run IMUPRU, where we focus on laser engraving, and we also have a digital design Etsy shop called Wild & Wise. If there’s a way to turn creativity into something special, we’re on it.

Where You’ll Find Us When We’re Not Working

If we’re not in the shop making something, we’re probably out in the mountains of West Virginia, riding side-by-sides, kayaking, fishing, or camping. Tommy’s family has riverfront property, and that’s where we spend most of our summers. It’s our little escape from the world—sometimes peaceful, sometimes a wild, muddy adventure, but always worth it.

We take a yearly trip to the ocean, and while it’s fun, we’re mountain people at heart. There’s just something about a winding dirt road, the smell of campfire smoke, and a star-filled sky that feels like home.

Why Puzzled Kay?

Writing has always been an outlet for me, but for the longest time, I kept it to myself. Now, I want to share the real, raw, and wonderful pieces of my life—family, business, creativity, adventure, and everything in between.

So, if you’ve ever felt like life is just one big puzzle you’re still figuring out, know that you’re not alone. Let’s put the pieces together, one adventure at a time. 💛
